Hi! My name is Cindy. Welcome to my little corner of the internet.
Like most people, I am a lot of things. I’m a writer, an artist, a student of A Course in miracles. I’m a wife of 24 years, and a kitty mom to three.
Some people have an interest and they throw themselves into it for years. Decades, even. They have lifelong passions.
That’s not me.
Except for my husband, I haven’t managed to be faithful to an interest for more than a few years.
That used to really bother me. I felt fickle, but now I see it as some kind of creative ADHD. I have a wide variety of interests and those interests wax and wane.
About ten years ago, I was a mixed media artist. I’ve recently picked up my paints again. I used to bind books; I made two small pamphlets today. I used to doodle balloon letters on my brown paper textbook covers, and now, I study calligraphy.
Creativity, like so much else in my life, is cyclical. I don’t know what it is about my personality that makes the spiral such an apt image for my life, but it is the perfect metaphor.
I used to believe I was interested in everything, but now I see that I have a few core interests that I just circle back to.
